More Ideas for the Kitchen: the PantryWelcome to my kitchen! Let me introduce my humble pantry: Finding something in it takes just a few seconds. I always know if I'm running out of anything. Why? It's organized! Here are some things to consider when organizing your pantry:1) Do you have enough space? If not, you might need to relocate lesser-used items to another location; 2) What items do you use the most? 3) What items do you use the least? 4) What items do you always use together? My answers to these questions were:1) Yes, this cabinet offers all the room I need (yay!); 2) Baking supplies and dried carbs like pasta, rice, and couscous; 3) Canned goods; 4) Baking supplies like flours and sugars as well as non-food items like plastic wrap and baggies. There are lots of products out there that you can use to organize your pantry. Some, like stepped-shelves, are specifically designed to sort a problem area (in this case, cans). Or, you can use multi-purpose items. In my pantry, I used a wire shelf to stack cans, and a lazy-susan for spices and sauces.Have you considered hanging a clear shoe-holder from a pantry door? You can then stuff the pockets with packets, bottles, and other small items you want to see at a glance.Go back to the main kitchen page for more ideas.
